Oh here come the Irish puns Gold Coasters. It’s St Patrick’s Day (on March 17th) and you know what that means – BULK BEER DRINKING FOR THE WIN.
Sorry, we love St Paddy’s Day. Irish people are so great and so are Irish foods and Irish beers and Irish jokes so here we go.
In honour of a day dedicated to the Irish, here’s a list of drinking holes to raise your pint glass in this Sunday (from north to south).
Harrigan’s Irish Pub
It’s a big day of good times up north at Harrigan’s with live music, an authentic Irish lunch on Sunday and Irish dancing to get the party cranking. The cold beer will be flowing, there’ll be face painting and balloon twister for the kids and, of course, drink specials. Tom Kimmet will perform from 11am until 2pm.

Dublin Docks Tavern
It’s another day filled with festivities at Dublin Docks Tavern this St Paddy’s Day. Get excited for THREE Irish bands, live and loud (as you’d expect), Irish dancers, Irish food and drink specials, a mobile Guinness bar and $100 vouchers on offer for best dressed. What a time!

Celebrate all things Irish this St. Patrick’s Day at Southport Sharks with Irish flavours and sounds and a huge range of themed offers. Frenzy’s are offering Beef & Guinness Pie with a drink for $19.90, available from 11.30am. Cabana Bar are creating a selection of Irish themed cocktails including ‘The Leprechaun’ and ‘Irish Luck’ and enjoy a Jameson and dry or a Guinness can at the Lounge Bar. If you’re keen to get into the spirit early, don’t miss O’Leary & the Munster Bucks performing traditional and contemporary Irish music from 8.30pm on Saturday, 16 March and a special performance from traditional Irish dancers during their set.

Waxy’s Irish Pub
It’s always a good time at Waxy’s but particularly on St Patrick’s Day. Entertainment starts from 12pm with Irish music until late as well as pipes and drums to keep things real. Of course, there’ll be plenty of Guinness, Irish whiskey and everyone’s favourite, green beer. Irish food specials are on offer as well as giveaways and best dressed competitions.

One Cavill will be stepping back in time and embracing their Irish roots this St Patrick’s Day. Beachfront balconies, epic St Paddy’s Day meals, themed drinks and 18 ice cold beers on tap. Go dressed in your best Irish outfit for the chance to win some amazing prizes.

Eat, Drink, & Be Irish. Finn McCools are planning a massive St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Sunday 17th March and everyone is invited. The doors open at 10am with live entertainment featuring Irish bands the Munster Bucks, The Stowaways, Gypsy Clovers, Irish Pipe Band and, of course, Irish Dancers. Happy days.

D’arcy Arms Irish Pub
It’s a festival of the Irish at the Coast’s oldest (and much-loved) Irish pub, D’arcy Arms. Kicking-off the festivities, legendary Irish band The Gathering will perform their only Gold Coast gig on St Patrick’s Day Eve, Saturday 16th March from 7pm. On Sunday, back-up for the full-blown St Patrick’s Day festivities from 10am with live entertainment throughout the day, pop-up bars and food tents serving tasty Irish fare. There’ll also be Pipers and Irish Dancing, Tartan Shamrock, Tyson & Shake, Celtic Fusion and of course, cold ales on flow!

The Bavarian are inviting diners to get their green on and celebrate the luckiest day of the year, St Patrick’s Day. The Broady venue will serve a green-coloured beer in their famous 1-litre, glass boots ($25), as an ode to the Irish. A St Patrick’s Day loaded schnitzel ($30) will also be available: featuring cabbage, bacon, mash and gravy. YUM. We’ll take one of each please.

The local legends are celebrating the Patron Saint of Ireland all weekend long. From Thursday March 14th through to Sunday March 17th, they’ll be hosting an epic weekend filled with hearty Irish food and drink, live music and DJ’s, a multi-day darts tournament and one heck of a good time (as always). Don’t miss this one friends.

In their signature style, Nightjar is hosting a Naughty Leprechaun Party and you can expect a very good time here. There’ll be beer, Jameson and a whole lot of GREEN. From Thursday March 14th to Sunday March 17th, Palmy faves The Scottish Prince will be hosting an epic weekend filled with food and drink, live music, an Irish whiskey seminar and in-house games. So a time. Live music each night will include traditional Irish folk, blues (of course) and vinyl DJ’s spinning wax ’til late. There’ll also be a dartboard challenge so rustle up the crew.
