Easter is a really great time; four days off work (for most of us) all of the chocolate, lots of family time and generally quite good weather here on the Gold Coast. What more could you want?
A few organised activities for the kiddies perhaps? Can do. Here we have all the very best Easter activities across the Coast to entertain the kiddies.
During the Easter long weekend, from Friday April 19th to Sunday April 21st, Dreamworld will be hosting activities for kids to help educate them on the plight of bilbies in the wild. Activities include colouring-in, cookie decorating, face painting and live bilby talks across the park throughout the day, with a portion of the proceeds going towards the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation. Also, with every Pink Lady Easter bilby chocolate purchased, a portion of the profits will be donated the Save the Bilby Fund.

Crafty’s Sports Bar
To celebrate the Easter school holidays, Crafty’s Sports Bar at Harbour Town have launched Crafty’s Little Olympics, where kids can play games for a chance at glory… and to win a free meal. On top of the kids activities, Crafty’s are also holding an Easter Brunch Banquet and a designated Daddy Day Care, with live entertainment and deals happening across the Easter weekend.

The Easter Bunny and Mr Sharky are visiting on Easter Sunday to celebrate Easter… so hop into Sharks with the family for a wide range of FREE entertainment. There’ll be live music all weekend plus a kids Easter show on Sunday night from 5pm to 7pm. There’s plenty more fun to be had. So head to Southport Sharks with the whole family and enjoy the long weekend.

The Gold Bunny Chocolate Maze will weave through Marina Mirage this Easter, with all successful participants taking away their own mini Lindt Gold Bunny chocolate. Bringing families together in a bit of fun and friendly competition throughout the holiday, spreading the Easter magic across the Coast. Plus, Cricelato Gelato, renowned for their quirky and vibrant selection, will be serving hot cross bun flavoured gelato, made with real fresh hot cross buns, as a one-off special over the Easter weekend. YUM!

Kids in the Kitchen is a fun and interactive cooking show taking place at Australia Fair, where children have the opportunity to create amazing Easter treats. The cooking show involves extra fun and excitement for the kids. They will be dressed in bright and colourful chef hats and aprons and there’ll be one set per child to wear and keep. Children will get their own ingredients to create Easter Bunny Cupcakes. All activities are free.

Circle on Cavill
A celebration of all things Easter, Circle on Cavill will have painting, Easter egg hunts (at 3:30pm, 4pm, and 4:30pm daily), a screening of Easter-inspired movie Hop, and special visits from the Easter Bunny. Brightly covered eggs will be hidden throughout the centre encouraging little hunters to track down their treasure. Golden Tickets will also be hidden on the hunt, meaning bigger chocolate prizes and gifts from the Circle on Cavill stores. The Easter Bunny will be at the precinct from 3:30pm to 5:30pm to join in all the egg-xploring and to make sure every child at Easter on Cavill receives a chocolate treat.

Australian Street Entertainment Carnival
For the entirety of the Easter long weekend, catch the region’s best professional street entertainers from 12pm – 10pm daily within the Surfers Paradise precinct. An eclectic mix of talented local street entertainers and industry newcomers will take to the streets and dazzle audiences in a range of performance arts including acrobatics, dance, music, magic, comedy and more.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Ahead of The Gruffalo Trail augmented reality experience launching later this week for the Easter long weekend, The Gruffalo has arrived to check out his new home at National Trust Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The Gruffalo Trail attraction is an Australian first. It’s a fun and interactive trail that gets kids outdoors, keeps them active and entertained and promotes children’s literacy. It’s an epic Good Friday at Seagulls Club in Tweed Heads with a huge raffle, hot cross buns up for grabs, face painting, jumping castles and live entertainment. There’ll be a special guest hopping on in plus live music from 7pm. The family is going to love hanging out at Seagulls this Good Friday.

The Gold Coast’s premiere art and culture festival kicks off on Wednesday April 17th with entertainment across the Coast for the entire Easter long weekend. A stage slash bar will be set up on Burleigh beach showcasing live music, theatres-style performances and plenty more PLUS the ever-magical Spiegeltent is offering plenty of adult-only entertainment if Mum and Dad get the chance to escape for a night.
